The Student Dietetic Association (SDA) at Cal State L.A. is an active student organization comprised of students who are passionate about nutrition, food, and overall health. All CSULA students are invited to join the SDA and members are invited to attend our general meetings, participate in our events, and have access to a variety of exciting volunteer and networking opportunities. Information about SDA events are posted on this website’s calendar.
Roles of SDA
SDA was founded in an effort to provide students with guidance, leadership, volunteer, and networking opportunities in the nutrition and dietetic fields. Throughout the years, SDA has helped nutritional science students build their resumes through its various events and programs, foster friendships among students, and cultivate working relationships with faculty and professionals in the industry.
As an organization, SDA is only as strong as its members. Presently, the SDA is one of the largest and most active student organizations on campus because of its dedicated, kind, and highly involved members who work tirelessly to volunteer, organize, and donate to the various SDA programs.
Our Mission is to encourage student involvement and provide guidance and networking opportunities within the nutrition, dietetics, and food industries while encouraging healthy dietary practices in our communities through education.
