At Monday, October 16, we will be having our rendition of World Food Day. What is World Food Day you ask? Well, it first came about in 1945 by the Food and Agriculture Organization to promote awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger. Furthermore, its intention is to increase the familiarity with food related issues such as supply and distribution, security, and nutrient composition.
We will be located on the main walkway in front of the bookstore. Through the work of our wonderful members, we will be informing and influencing our CSULA community on the following topics: Food Waste/Composting, Gardening/Importance of Buying Local, Plant-Based Diets, and Food Rescue. CalFresh Outreach, Fight for Food Justice, and the Food Science Club will also be joining us. This event is open to all, so invite your friends, come by, say hi, and learn a thing or two. You'll be getting awesome info, plus we will be having free giveaways.
See you all there !!!
